首先，一定来一句，“这场比赛太精彩啦！” It is a terrific game. 那是一场很棒的比賽。    
 
翻翻字典，就会发现terrific有恐怖、可怕的意思。不过看美国大片的时候，却很少见它被用做“可怕”讲。基本上，它就是指“很棒的”东西，棒的等级大概跟 wonderful 差不多。例如別人问你 Have you watched the game between Argentina and the Netherlands? 你就可以回答：Yes, that's a terrific one.     
 
That's awesome. 那真是太棒了。    
 
Awesome 和 terrific 一样，在字典里都有“可怕”的意思。可是一般人们用这个词，都是表达“很棒”的意思。通常老美只讲 awesome 一个词。比如说，有人问你：How do you think of that game? 你就可以说：Awesome! 表示这场比赛真的很精彩。 
 
当然，terrific和 awesome 这两个词可不光是用来形容比赛的。如果別人买了一辆劳斯莱斯，问你“你觉得我的车怎么样”，你就可以回答说 Awesome! 
 
Terrific，awesome 和我们常用的词 wonderful，excellent 一般场合下都是可以互换的。用久了一个词觉得乏味就可以换另一个哦！

射门 shots
