北京交管局周一宣布，从8月20日到9月3日，即抗战胜利70周年纪念日前两周将实施“单双号限行”措施。

　　The Beijing transport authority confirmed on Monday that it will adopt an "odd-even plate number rule" from August 20 to September 3, two weeks before the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

　　为纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年，2015年9月3日将举行胜利日阅兵。限行措施目的在于保证届时的空气质量和交通状况良好。“单双号限行”措施曾于召开2008年北京奥运会和2014年APEC峰会时实施。

　　China will host a V-day parade on September 3, 2015, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory in War against Japanese Aggression as well as the World's Anti-Fascism War. This move is to ensure good air quality and smooth transportation during the commemoration period. The "odd-even plate number rule" has been implemented during events such as the 2008 Olympic Games and the APEC summit in 2014.
